Mitchell Stemen

Mitch is a licensed residential builder based in Southern Michigan with a background in interior design, architecture, and custom woodworking.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and began his career working on high-end residential projects in ski resort communities located in Montana, contributing to the design and execution of multi million dollar custom homes from initial concept through final furnishing selections. That experience provided a strong foundation in space planning, proportion, materials, and architectural detail.

Transitioning into hands-on construction, Mitch developed a focus on framing, finish carpentry, and custom millwork; bringing a design-informed perspective to every build and renovation.

Today, he leads Stemen Contracting with an emphasis on craftsmanship, organization, and long-term durability. Clients work directly with him throughout their project, ensuring continuity, accountability, and a clear understanding of expectations from start to finish.

Specializes in long naps, perimeter security checks, and supervising office snacks. Known for maintaining morale and ensuring no crumb goes uninspected. Has yet to miss a lunch break.

Riley Stemen

Chief Enthusiasm Officer

Responsible for quality control of tennis balls and enforcing mandatory play breaks. Brings enthusiasm to the office and ensures spirits stay high, regardless of the schedule.
